Display Guide

Display Guide Number 1

I thought it would be a good idea to show you a few examples on how to display your fantastic images in the best possible way! After all, you have just purchased an amazing canvas and you want to make the most out of it! There are endless possibilities so today I will show you one of the simplest.

One simple canvas of one of your favourite images can be such a statement.

There was a powerful study circulating not long ago about how children’s self esteem can be boosted through photography.

David Krauss, a licensed psychologist from Cleveland, Ohio said: “I think it is really important to show a family as a family unit. It is so helpful for children to see themselves as a valued and important part of that family unit. A photographer’s job is to create and make the image look like a safe holding space for kids where they are safe and protected. Kids get it on a really simple level.”

This is why it is so important to me to not leave these beautiful pictures on a USB stick in a drawer. They need to be printed and your children will thank you for it.

I will show you more display options in a series of blog posts very soon.

Cake Smash South East London

Cake Smash South East London

Let me introduce you to Zion!

We met on his first birthday and to celebrate this milestone, I came to have a cake smash session with him in Camberwell, South East London.

We started with a portrait in a little outfit that his Mum Zainab had chosen for her boy’s big day. 2015-06-06_0001

As he was having his party straight after our photo shoot, we had a lot of balloons to play with and he loves them so much!

We also had a few pictures with his big brother Malachi, Mummy and Daddy.

Then serious business started! We introduced the fantastic cake that my friend Cat does especially for me!

During our pre-consultation, I do try to work with parents on a theme for the whole session. We decided to do a Super Hero cake smash for Zion.

I have to say that I’ve never seen a little boy love cake so much! He was a bit shy to start with but once he tasted it, there was no turning back!

He loved it and having cake all over himself was obviously not a problem at all for Zion!

He also loved using the wooden spoon to help himself with more cake!

After a little while, it was time to have a little bubble bath to get rid of all the stickiness!

Usually babies love the bath more than the cake but not Zion! He wasn’t happy we took the cake away from him and he just wanted to keep on eating it!

Happy Birthday Zion! I know you had a fantastic time for your first birthday Cake Smash!
