As a newborn photographer in South East London, I get to meet so many gorgeous babies and their parents.
They are all so different and you never know what to expect! I’m always kept on my toes!
Anaya was absolutely gorgeous and only 14 days old when I first met her.
Her mum had found me on the BANPAS website (http://www.banpas.co.uk/) and booked a session to mark the birth of her first baby.
Sleep really wan’t an option for her though! She decided there were more interesting things to look at and do while I was there! So we went with the flow and I’m very glad we did!

I did have a few moments of shut eyes though!
And some gorgeous pictures with Mum and Dad!
I always have a plan when I do a newborn session but as I work with baby, I have to go with what they want to do! If, like Anaya, sleep is not on the programme for that day, it’s really not a problem! There is always a solution!
Don’t forget to book your newborn session as early as possible to have a slot in my diary. Newborn sessions are best done between 5 and 14 days after the birth of your baby. We can still have wonderful pictures taken after that but most babies are more awake, more sensitive to the touch and not as flexible for these wonderful curly poses!
